Races - Human

The Human race, the race by which all others are judged.

Highly adaptable creatures, humans hail from the planet Earth. They lived thousands of years without much development until reaching what was called the industrial age, where humankinds ability to store and gather information extended past paper and pen, and the rate of learning grew exponentially.

However, their adaptability had the drawback of giving them a keen awareness of differences over similarities, and caused numerous tensions between races, genders, and other groups, and petty squabbling lead to two world wars, and nearly a third.

They had barely scratched the surface of space exploration when the third world war began. However amid this war, an alien race (The Vilorians) made contact with the humans. Instantly the human race was galvanized and their differences with each-other became less significant as their differences with alien life became more apparent. There was a tremendous burst in population and exploration, during which time human beings became unparalleled masters of energy and power, and spread out over 15 worlds in just over 300 years.

After a brief war with the Vilorians, the humans made peace. They allied with the Vilorians in a cultural information exchange, though Humans found other races far more fascinating. Then, the planet Andromeda was discovered. Andromeda - a planet rich in Talavari crystals, would make an excellent colony and a tremendous source of power. However three other species wanted it too, the Karpians, Vortians and the Thonisians. With that begins the race to Andromeda!
